This e-zine was created to bring the many aspects of the Kustom Kulture community within the Mid-Atlantic region together in one spot. It is a place for those who love bikes, cars, tattoos, music, food and other kool stuff. Purists of Kustom Kulture may feel that this site deviates too far from the rock-a-billy, Von Dutch, Ed Roth aspect of the Kustom Kulture scene and how it is truly defined. While this may be true in some sense, I believe that our Kulture is constantly growing, and the influence and spirit of the original founders of Kustom Kulture have laid the foundation and are the inspiration of the Kulture addressed here in GarageBoyz Magazine. This region has an amazing amount of people, shops and places devoted to this Kulture . Most of these places are owned or ran by people who share a lot of the same passions. Sure the young kids may love their Import Tuners and the grey-beards may love their American Muscle, but the common thread is a shared love of motors and cruising and keeping their machines road ready. I?m sure each one of them smiles just as hard when they're running the roads or turnin a wrench, regardless of what they are driving. Everyday there are bikers, rodders, tattoo artists, collectors, mechanics, painters, machinists, musicians and such, working to keep the Kulture alive and growing. Whether it is through building a sweet running motor, or painting some slick old skool flame job, or picking up another piece for their collection in order to preserve the history of cars and bikes. This is what GarageBoyz Magazine is all about. My hope is to grow this Kulture Magazine not only by myself, but with the pictures and contributions of The Kulture Community. This can only grow with your help. So if you have pictures or stories relevant to our Kulture within the Mid-Atlantic area SEND ?EM IN!! If you work in, or own a shop that contributes to its continued growth, or are an artist or just have something to contribute? please email us and let us know ? Shareyour passion with the community !! GarageBoyz is about the people and the businesses within our community. It is about exploring and bringing to the forefront the available resources within the Kulture Community. It is about showing and appreciating its Kulture. It is my hope that once people see how rich our Kulture is here, that they will start to and continue to support these local businesses and artists. Only through this continued support can the small shops and local artists continue enriching the amazing and vibrant Kulture Community.
